We’ve wrapped production on Searching for a King and now it’s time for our team to start the long process of heading home. This time is really bittersweet for us.
During the production of Searching for a King, our team has the privilege of meeting a lot of wonderful people. One of those experts that we’ve had the chance to interview is Dr. Scott Stripling, an archeologist with the Associates for Biblical Research.
When you think of video often times we think of the visuals. Appian Media is all about seeing these amazing places and sharing the lands of the Bible with our viewers, but how often do you think about how sound plays a role in the experience.
Our team uses a lot of different equipment to create the Searching for a King series. Probably no piece of equipment is any more unique and more niche’ than our motion control slider. We have used that tool for creating some of the stunning time-lapse shots that you’ll see in the new series.
In 2018, we were blessed to have an individual make a donation in a very different way. Appian Media was gifted a UAV or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle… also known as a quadcopter or drone.
This year our team is taking it up a notch with the travel sequences we’re filming for the Searching for a King series. We are traveling in several different kinds and styles of vehicles… which means rigging cameras onto the vehicles is a necessity.
The Searching for a King video series was in the works for almost six months before any of our team ever stepped foot into Israel.
