ENDING OUR TIME IN JERUSALEM
Our team is wrapping up eight days of filming in Jerusalem and now we’re packing our gear and preparing to head north to Galilee.
It has been an exciting and exhausting week for everyone on this crew, but as we look back on the video and photos we’ve been able to capture it was worth every minute of effort. We’ve seen some downright jaw-dropping places. Here are just a few: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, traditionally believed to be the site of Golgotha and the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, the Citadel, which is the location of ruins marking the spot where Herod’s Palace stood – and the likely location of Jesus’ trial before Pilate, and the Garden of Gethsemane, where we learn so much about Jesus’ immense love for us through His prayer there in the garden.
We knew that this series of videos would be a challenge and we especially knew the second half of the series would be an even bigger challenge because of the countless locations in Jerusalem that needed to be included. Looking at the work we’ve done in just eight days is very exciting to us and we hope you enjoy what you see when the videos are completed in 2018.
Jerusalem is a unique city with varying cultures, beliefs and countless sites, sounds and experiences. Nothing compares to walking through the old city and poking in and out of little shops or peaking down at 2,000 year old ruins right below your feet. There’s so much history and the exciting thing is that history points to the fact that the Bible is real.
Now it’s off to Galilee for the remainder of the trip as we focus on Jesus’ miracles and teachings.
