POST-PRODUCTION PROGRESS AND AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!
It’s been three months since we returned from Israel and post-production began on the first five episodes of “Following the Messiah!” Because of the change in my job situation, I was able to commit these last three months to working almost exclusively towards the goal of having these completed before the beginning of 2017 (several months earlier than we had originally planned). We wanted to provide you with a progress update!
The majority of what still needs to be completed in each episode includes the addition of aerial footage from many of the key locations, the creation of some detailed animated maps to demonstrate the position and distances of these locations, and the final color grading and audio mixing. We are getting close!
Not only do we remain on target to reach the goal of an early 2017 release date, but we are also excited to announce that we plan to make available a large media library of photos and videos, from our trip, on the website when the episodes launch. Even though we didn’t reach the $75k stretch goal, which would allow for the media library, we have made the decision to move forward with this feature anyway. We have hired Sarah Jones, with Strong Roots Design, to build a custom website making this new library easy to use – with a robust search feature. This will give users the ability to find content quickly and easily, allowing them to download media for use in personal and group study, classes and even the pulpit.
Our main series of “Following the Messiah” will remain as we have always promised, free to EVERYONE to watch, download, and share with others! Because we really wanted to make the media library available, in spite of not reaching the stretch goal, we are working on finalizing plans of a subscription-based model with a reasonable annual/monthly fee that would give users access to the library, full of hundreds of high resolution photos, HD and 4k video clips, and short edited vignettes from over 20 locations across Israel (including Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem, and the Sea of Galilee). Appian Media will continue to release new content throughout the year, starting in 2017, including some really exciting bonus locations that we can’t wait to share with you!
We believe this is just one step towards ensuring that Appian Media can continue to create Biblically sound and compelling video series and make them available for FREE to everyone, while providing an ever-expanding resource of media through our library for teachers, preachers, and Bible students all over the world! We want this library to be your go-to resource when it comes to Biblical media!
Thank you all for your continued encouragement and support! We can’t wait to share these videos and resources with you soon!
